Students Design and Build Moon Buggies
Over 1,000 high school, college, and university students from 20 states and Puerto Rico, Canada, Germany, Bangladesh, Serbia, India, and Romania will drive their specially crafted lunar rovers through a challenging course of rugged, moonlike terrain at NASA's 17th Annual Great Moon Buggy Race, April 9-10 in Huntsville, Alabama. If you're serious about pursuing aviation as a career, EAA can help! EAA has several scholarships available to qualified individuals to help further their education. The EAA Scholarship Program encourages, recognizes, and supports excellence among those studying the technologies and skills of aviation. These annual scholarships help outstanding students, who demonstrate financial need, to accomplish their goals. Scholarship applicants must be involved in school and community activities, as well as aviation activities. Read more

Another FAA Written Exam Passed
Daniel Manzani, 16, of Temecula, California, passed his private pilot written exam on March 20 after completing Sporty's Next Step online program. Daniel started flying last summer after taking a Young Eagle flight in late 2008. His parents aren't pilots but support him and his desire to be a pilot. He soloed on his 16th birthday and hopes to earn his private certificate on his 17th birthday this September. Daniel is learning to fly at French Valley Airport in Murrieta, California (F70). He is shown with his flight instructor, Tom Jernascic.
